The Camellia Collection of Terra Nostra Garden is known for its beauty and exclusivity. Some of the varieties of existing camellias are over 100 years old and were brought to the Garden by the Marquis of Praia and Monforte around 1872. He started introducing species from various parts of the world, namely North America, the Netherlands, Spain, and mainland Portugal. and even the Azores.
